Short Band Bio
Roman Goron is a French-Filipino-American Jazz Pianist and Composer based in Seattle, WA. Roman performs regularly in the Seattle area, produces and mixes electronically, and leads his own trio, the Roman Goron Trio, whose style is a creative blend of harmonically rich acoustic jazz which aims to push the envelope of musical exploration within a classic configuration. Through music, Roman aspires to bridge his passions for sound, visual imagery, and storytelling.

Roman has performed alongside jazz luminaries such as Joe Farnsworth, Sarah Hanahan, Erena Terakubo, Marshall Gilkes, Jay Thomas, and Thomas Marriott, and is the recipient of 4 DownBeat Student Music Awards, is a YoungArts Jazz Piano Finalist, Yamaha Young Performing Artists Winner, and Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition Winner. Currently, Roman performs regularly in the Seattle area, produces and mixes electronically, and leads his own trio, the Roman Goron Trio. Through music, Roman aims to bridge his passions for sound, visual imagery, and storytelling. In the fall of 2025, Roman will attend The Juilliard School to study Jazz Piano.

Roman Goron is a French-Filipino-American Jazz Pianist and Composer based in Seattle, WA. Roman has performed alongside jazz luminaries such as Joe Farnsworth, Sarah Hanahan, Erena Terakubo, Marshall Gilkes, Jay Thomas, Thomas Marriott, and currently studies under pianist David Kikoski. Born in Washington D.C., Roman began piano at age 5. Moving to Paris at age 8, Roman studied Solfege at the Schola Cantorum, and self-studied jazz piano from age 12 before moving to Seattle a few years later.
Furthering his craft in the jazz programs at Bellevue High School and Bellevue College, Roman received numerous awards, including 4 DownBeat Student Music Awards, named a YoungArts Jazz Piano Finalist, Yamaha Young Performing Artists Winner, and Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition Winner.
Currently, Roman performs regularly in the Seattle area, produces and mixes electronically, and leads his own trio, the Roman Goron Trio, for whom he composes and arranges original material. Through music, Roman aims to bridge his passions for sound, visual imagery, and storytelling. In the fall of 2025, Roman will attend The Juilliard School to study Jazz Piano.
